Jeremy Kerley signing with Jets on one-year deal

Jeremy Kerley signing with Jets on one-year deal

That's [fellow rookie safety Marcus Maye's] and [my] mentality.

Buffalo's Week 1 opponent, the New York Jets are hosting WR Jeremy Kerley for a visit today.

And one of the biggest reasons he wanted to be here, is because offensive coordinator Chan Gailey is gone. "So it's a better opportunity [now], I guess, because it's a different person here".

The Jets originally drafted Kerley, 28, in the fifth round in 2011. And they should be different.

Kerley has been a useful player throughout his six years in the league. Not that [Kerley] couldn't play. It's not that [Kerley] couldn't play, it's just that he didn't fit the scheme we were using.

"I still like him".

"I don't get surprised by that". That according to the New York Daily News. He actually called Bowles to let him know he was interested in a reunion witht he Jets.

'Veep' to end with season seven
She won five consecutive Emmys for outstanding lead actress for Veep and has been nominated in the category yet again this year. Shooting for the final season will begin in October, and the show will presumably debut some time in April 2018.

Despite his previous success, he was released before the start of the season. "I was trying to hit up everybody. That's what I noticed coming back, and it's something I'll be looking forward to being a part of and hoping we can get that going". This is the place I felt most comfortable. It was kind of a flawless fit for my family, as far as the people in the building and the environment.

"I know this team wants to win".

Kerley adds a veteran presence and familiar face to a mostly inexperienced receiving group. He said that he'll be up late at night studying the playbook. Kerley will again be an option to return punts for the Jets, who also claimed former Broncos return man Kalif Raymond off waivers Sunday.

QB Bryce Petty (knee) practiced fully, but Bowles would not say whether Petty or Hackenberg will be the No. 2 quarterback Sunday. He has enough to work on as it is.

"I feel I play good after adversity", Kerley said before breaking into a slight smile.

"It's going to take some gymnastics", Bowles said. "You get those guys in here and it's like they've been here for a while".

And yet there he was on Wednesday, standing in the Jets' locker room, happy to be back.
