Jaguars have to use in-house options to replace Allen Robinson

Robinson was unable to walk off the field and then fell to the turf.

Robinson suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in his left knee during the Jaguars' first offensive series of the season, the team confirmed Sunday.

That means the Jaguars are likely in the market for another receiver, but there aren't many options available.

He was ruled out for the rest of the game and the fear is he tore the ACL in his left knee, according to National Football League medical analyst for SiriusXM and the San Diego Union-Tribune Dr. David J. Chao. His best season came in 2015 when he notched 14 touchdowns.

ESPN's Early Prediction For Louisville-Clemson
Now we get an early season treat between the top two teams in the ACC as Louisville heads to Clemson for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. He became the second player in FBS history with 300 yards passing and 100 rushing in back-to-back games.

Entering free agency next March, Robinson is now in an awkward position.

"What I think about is how hard A-Rob has worked, and how much he's put in", Marrone said on a conference call Monday afternoon, a day after the Jaguars' 29-7 victory at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee remain the top receiving options at wide receiver, but don't sleep on Keelan Cole. Cole or Benn would probably man the slot in three-receiver sets. He caught a pass for 18 yards in his Jaguars debut Sunday.

Although he experienced a setback in production last season, Robinson was still the clear-cut number one wideout for the Jaguars this year. Undrafted wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo was added to the practice roster following final cuts. Hurns is one of only four players in franchise history to have a 1,000-yard receiving season, which he did in 2015, but he's coming off a disappointing 2016. Fourth-round pick Dede Westbrook went on injured reserve last week with a core muscle injury.
