Deshaun Watson to start against Bengals, pending examination of his ankle

Watson tweaked his ankle in Sunday's game and was on the Texans' injury report on Monday, but was listed as a full participant Tuesday. However, the team continues to monitor his progress.

When the Texans traded up to snag Watson in the first round, it seemed inevitable he would take over at some point this season. It's hard to believe he won't be under center in Cincinnati. Sep.

Houston coach Bill O'Brien replaced Tom Savage with rookie Deshaun Watson at halftime of the Texans' 29-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, leaving questions about who will start on Thursday night for a team long plagued with problems at the position.

"The health of any player is the first determinant in whether they play or not", O'Brien said Tuesday. The rookie out of Clemson, who was selected with the No. 12 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, did pioneer a 14-play, 75-yard drive that spanned almost six minutes and found wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the back of the end zone for both Watson's first career touchdown and the Texans' first points of the afternoon.

The Texans are going with Watson for multiple reasons, including his superior mobility and elusiveness while operating behind a porous offensive line.

Myanmar denies Rohingya exist as an ethnic group and says those living in Rakhine are illegal migrants from Bangladesh. Aung San Suu Kyi's government has come in for strong global criticism over the military's treatment of the Rohingya.

The Bengals are a good opponent for Watson in his first week as a starter. "We had a hard time protecting him so I just made the decision to go with Deshaun".

Houston and Cincinnati face off on Thursday night at 8:25 p.m. E.T. and you can catch the game on NFL Network.

Eagles 30, Redskins 17: Carson Wentz threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns as the second-year quarterback guided the Eagles in a sloppy, mistake-filled season opener.

Then again if Savage plays another game, he would likely end up injured since the Texans' offensive line is completely inept and he has had a hard time staying healthy in the past.
