Westbrook Inks 10-Year Extension with Jordan Brand

Westbrook Inks 10-Year Extension with Jordan Brand

The long-term extension will link the 28-year-old Westbrook with Jordan Brand through as long as the 2025-2026 National Basketball Association season.

How might that impact his on-court future? DePaula adds this re-up represents the most lucrative total endorsement deal for any Jordan-affiliated athlete thus far.

The 28-year-old Westbrook, though, will have a signature line of on-court shoes and off-court sneakers and clothing as part of the 10-year deal. Foundation and will have brand ambassador rights that could extend beyond his playing career, according to the ESPN report.

Russell Westbrook averaged a triple-double on his way to the 2016-2017 NBA MVP, and he did it while rocking Jordan Brand.

Champions league: Mohamed Salah to miss Liverpool, Sevilla clash
A fine start to his Liverpool career was rewarded with the Standard Chartered Player of the Month award for August. Sevilla won their game at the weekend, beating Eibar 3-0 in La Liga.

The Thunder star averaged a triple-double-a first in the National Basketball Association since Oscar Robertson did it in 1962-with 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists in leading OKC to the playoffs even with the departure of Kevin Durant. He already has an off-court lifestyle shoe, the Westbrook 0.1 and the Westbrook 0.2. The shoe is expected to undoubtedly highlight his flashy and unpredictable fashion lens - "unlike anything that Jordan Brand has done before" - according to an industry source. That will hold for the coming season as he leads the Air Jordan 32, but it's unclear who will take that mantle once the Oklahoma City Thunder star gets his own performance model.

Other terms of the deal have not been made public as of posting time.

The deal also includes a rare "ambassador clause", providing Westbrook with appearance opportunities and additional Jordan Brand legacy potential after he retires from the National Basketball Association.
