Narcos location scout found dead in Mexico

Narcos location scout found dead in Mexico

The BBC report that his body was discovered on Monday (September 11), although details are only emerging now. It's now unclear if Portal's death will affect production or whether the murder will move production back to Columbia.

The vehicle was found on an unanemd dirt road in San Bartolo Actopan - which is part of the Temascalapa municipality. That works out to a ratio of 12.2 for every 100,000 inhabitants. Police are reportedly struggling to figure out how or why Munoz was killed.

A spokesperson for Attorney General of the State of Mexico told Dedline that they have no witnesses at this time. This has caused authorities to believe a persecution may have occurred. It remains to be seen if the production will move forward with Mexico locations for season 4.

Netflix issued a brief statement in light of Munoz's murder: "We are aware of the passing of Carlos Munoz Portal, a well-respected scout, and send our condolences to his family".
