Nike unveils Cavaliers' new black uniforms

Nike unveils Cavaliers' new black uniforms

All 30 NBA teams had a player representative in attendance for the Nike / NBA Partnership Launch at Sony Studios in Los Angeles to unveil the new "Statement Edition" jerseys.

This season, National Basketball Association teams will wear alternate "Statement" Nike uniforms to make bold statements for big games and rivalry matchups. It's not yet clear how often teams will wear these new uniforms, but hopefully it's a lot because they sure are pretty sharp.

The first of the new Cavaliers uniforms debuted last month in wine and white. However, they're of course all Nike branded now, and some include subtle changes beyond that. The Statement Edition jersey will be available to buy on November 20 and teams will start playing in the jerseys on November 25.

For most fans the experience of wearing team apparel on gameday (whether they're in the stadium or at home) is enough to make them feel plugged in, but this is an attempt to take things a step further.

Run through the gallery above to see players from every team showing off the new jerseys. Fans can get the other new ones starting September 29. The all black jerseys are accented by the Cavs' colors of wine and gold and feature a pinstripe design that line the front of the jersey to the middle of the shorts.
