69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Airs Sunday, September 17th

This year's Emmys will be interesting, so you won't want to miss it.

Luckily, you don't have to be a cable subscriber, or even have a TV, to be able to watch TV's biggest night.

In honor of Sunday night's big event, we look at some of our favorite series and stars celebrating all things Emmy.

Ahead of its launch in a "few global markets in the next couple of months" Hotstar, ranked number one by App Annie Inc.in terms of MAUs, is also bringing the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards to the Indian viewers live.

Over the course of the weekend, three "Our Stories" segments will air on Snapchat, including "Stars on Set: Emmys Story" on Saturday.

But how can you watch the Emmys to see who takes home a golden statue?

It's not going to happen. "It's nearly subliminal at times". "It's great to see the progression". We thought that would be important. I think we showed that last week.

Raleigh native Evan Rachel Wood is nominated for Best Actress in a drama for her role in HBO's "Westworld". Stalwarts like Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones aren't in the running this year - the former ended before last year's awards, and the latter didn't air its season within the eligibility window.

The hiring of Stephen Colbert as host of the 2017 Emmy Awards broadcast all but guaranteed a night of hyper-focus not on the arts, not on artists - but on President Donald Trump.

This year Netflix had its most-ever nominations with 93, up from 54. The nominees are Netflix's "The Crown", "House of Cards" and "Stranger Things"; AMC's "Better Call Saul"; Hulu's "The Handmaid's Tale"; HBOs "Westworld"; and NBC's "This Is Us".

Among comedy nominees, the political satire "Veep" is a favored again after two consecutive wins, and its star Julia Louis-Dreyfus is considered equally if not more likely to claim the best comedy actress trophy for the sixth time for her role.

For contenders in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category, dethroning Julia Louis-Dreyfus from her long-held top spot will be much more hard.

It could be a big night for African-American performers. Just previous year, the cast and crew won 12 different Emmys alone.
