Liverpool suffered a heavy defeat to City followed up by frustrating draws at home to Sevilla and Burnley in the Champions League and Premier League.

Liverpool's miserable September continues as goals from Shinji Okazaki and Islam Slimani was enough to send the Reds crashing out of the Carabao Cup with a 2-0 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
