Rachel and Hayden 'split'

The latest in the depressing trend of major Hollywood breakups, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have chose to go their separate ways after almost a decade together.

An anonymous inside source told the magazine that the couple has been heading toward the split for awhile.

"They've been on the outs for a couple of months", the source said.

According to the insider however, the couple are now "completely, officially done".

The stars, both 36, memorably met on the set of their 2008 film, Jumper, in which Bilson played Christensen's love interest. They became engaged in December 2008, but broke it off in 2010.

Weeks later, Sutton fled the area to Louisiana and dropped off her daughter at a friend's house outside of New Orleans. Sutton is being held without bail at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center and is awaiting extradition to Texas.

"Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson welcome their daughter Briar Rose Christensen born on October 29, 2014", her rep told Us Weekly in a statement at the time.

They had a daughter together, 2-year-old Briar Rose, but never tied the knot. They reconciled three months later. "The original Sleeping Beauty is called Briar Rose", he said.

Speaking about the name choice at the time Hayden confirmed it was a nod to their love of Disney. Her name is said to be inspired for the couple's mutual love of Disney films.

The pair was notoriously private throughout their relationship, but Bilson offered a rare glimpse into their life together in a 2013 interview with Cosmopolitan.

"I'm definitely the person who would make him his favourite dinner to come to".
