A constable of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was shot dead and an assistant sub-inspector of the SSB was left injured in an attack, motive of which is still unclear.

"We are investigating as the injured SSB man has no bullet injury".

Police is carrying out an investigation into the matter to ascertain under what circumstance the firing took place. "The militants also snatched 1 INSAS Rifle & 1 AR-41 Rifle from them", said SSB claimed.

"He was operated by doctors at army hospital in Srinagar".

The SSB DIG said they have recovered cartridge cases of fired ammunition from the site, which is not of the weapons used by the security forces.

Though they're not hiring new employees for traditional roles, Walmart will have more holiday helpers this year. Walmart says the same plan was used a year ago and was met with approval from customers and employees.

Also, if it was a terror attack, the response of the SSB personnel will be investigated as reportedly there was no cross-firing with only one bullet being fired at the place of incident.

He said the SSB men are deployed for security in the area as work on 4-laning of Srinagar-Jammu highway is underway.

After the firing incident turned out to be a militant attack, police has launched probe to identify the persons involved in the attack.

"Top police officials have rushed to the spot to know the details about the incident", they said. However, when asked about reports of fratricide, the SSP said, "That is also a possibility but the investigation is going on".
