Niagara historical society taking part in 'Museum Day Live!'

The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people.

Museums across the nation will emulate the Smithsonian Institution's Washington, DC-based facilities, which offer free admission every day.

The Museum will celebrate Wickenburg's mining heritage and Arizona's geological diversity with a fun-packed Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 23.

You and a friend can even do so for free thanks to a joint sponsorship with Smithsonian magazine and Microsoft. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket.

Other participating museums in this area include Alexandria's Runestone Museum and Legacy of the Lakes Museum & Gardens; and the Otter Tail County Historical Society in Fergus Falls.

With a chance of rain in the forecast Saturday, it may be the ideal time to stay indoors and check out one of Colorado's many museums.
