PlayStation Plus subscribers get MGS 5: The Phantom Pain free in October

October's set of PS+ games are huge too, with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain arriving alongside the Amnesia Collection on PS4.

The last entry in the series before Hideo Kojima jumped ship to start work on Death Stranding, Metal Gear Solid V is a monumental send-off for Big Boss.

Which games are you looking forward to and why? PlayStation Vita owners will also receive Hue and Sky Force Anniversary, both of which are compatible with PS4. Will you be downloading these new titles onto your PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, and what are you hoping to see in November 2017's update? There are two games per console; although, the Vita games are cross-buy with the PS4 and PS3.

On PS3, PlayStation Plus subscribers can pick up Monster Jam Battlegrounds and Hustle Kings.

October is fast approaching, and with it comes free PlayStation Plus games.

There is more good news for PS Plus members as the company is also giving them access to the Hand of Gods closed beta, starting October 7.

Sony's announcement comes with additional reminders, such as "That's You" leaving PS Plus on October 24.

Sony sells PlayStation Plus in either three or 12-month subscription packages. However, when PlayStation Plus jumped over to the PS4, it also acted as a gateway to Sony's online content and store discounts.
