Most Indian men don't want wives to fast on Karwa Chauth

To understand the change in outlook amongst men with regard to the tradition of fasting on Karwa Chauth, they were asked how they would like to celebrate Karwa Chauth and 50 per cent said they will "take the day off and spend quality time together", followed by 23 per cent saying that "a romantic candle light dinner" and eight per cent said "take a vacation". Sometimes, even women engaged to be married fast for the well being of their fiances. Married women observe the day long fast and pray for the long life of their husband. Women break their fast only after they see the moon.

The occasion is celebrated in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab. The story of Queen Veeravati starts with her return to her parent's house after her marriage for her first Karwa Chauth. Women observing Karva Chauth break the fast only after offering prayers to the moon. So, celebrate the festival of Karwa Chauth with much love and fervour. Women also worship Goddess Parvati as a form of Karwa Mata. Women also adorn handsome red sarees or lehengas and sit in a circle with their puja thalis. It happened when Arjun went to the Nilgiris for penance and rest of the Pandavas faced many problems.

During the press conference, police also recognized Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Campos , calling him a "true hero". It has now been reported he booked two rooms overlooking the much bigger Lollapalooza festival in Chicago in August.

He asked her why did she sing the song and Veeravati narrated the story. A more restless Draupadi during that era remembered Lord Krishna to sought his help.

One epic story which is believed to have originated this festival is the story of woman named Karva, who was truly devoted to her husband. During her journey, she was met with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to Hindu scripture Vratraj, the best time to perform Karwa Chauth Puja is during Sandhya time which starts after sunset. She pleaded guilty for breaking her fast unknowingly and asked for her husband's life. Initially, Yama refused to do this but getting frightened by Karva who had threatened to curse Yama, sent the crocodile to hell and blessed Karva's husband with long life. She asked him to bring two identical dolls.
