Giants WR Brandon Marshall Announces He'll Undergo Season-Ending Surgery

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (87).

Like fellow Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall's season appears to be over due to an ankle injury. The Giants will likely consider other practice squad promotions or outside help to fill the huge void left at receiver by the slew of injuries.

Marshall signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Giants in March, but the team would save $5.5 million in cap space by cutting the 33-year-old after this season. Marshall left Sunday's game with an ankle injury.

Bradford likely to start for Vikings tonight
The Bears started the season out with Mike Glennon , but the turnover-prone QB was ditched after a dismal start to the season. But the Vikings don't play well in Chicago for some reason, including on Halloween night a year ago in a Monday night game.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. requires surgery to fix his fractured ankle. The team is averaging just 16.4 points per game on an offense that is largely reliant on the passing game that now asks the likes of Roger Lewis and Tavaress King to step up. Though, MRI results came back negative and he's considered day-to-day. A sore finger also limited Beckham after he dislocated it during the Giants Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Along with King, they will add rookie Travis Rudolph and wide receiver Darius Powe to the practice squad, ESPN reported.

Asked if free agent Victor Cruz could return to the Giants, McAdoo said: "To my knowledge he is not an option, but never say never". McAdoo said his focus will be on preparing him and the new but not unknown additions for Sunday's game against the Broncos in Denver. "Sort of takes care of itself when you have guys nicked up like we do".
