Snapchat's new Context Cards use Snaps for spontaneous discovery

Now, when you view a Snap that's part of an "Our Story", Snaps that have contextual information available will have a "more" menu.

The feature will first roll out to Snapchat users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Snap said many locations will also have Stories integrated into their Context Cards.

Snapchat is introducing a new feature that will transform the experience of using the apps at a fundamental level. By adding business info, reservation booking, reviews, and other services directly to Snapchat, the company is effectively making the case that its users could bypass Google entirely for certain types of common searches.

Country specific versions for the rest of the world are expected in the near future.

Avocados and bananas prevent heart diseases
Roughly a handful of raisins provides about 600 mg of potassium, which is equivalent to 12 percent of the recommended daily value. Meanwhile, rats who were given potassium-rich food, such as bananas , had less hardening of their aortas.

Content partners for Snapchat's Context Cards include Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, TripAdvisor, Foursquare, and Michelin. But a new update makes them look a whole lot like.

For Snap, the feature shows just how much the company has moved to open up its platform, once notoriously closed off, in recent months. That will let users access related posts submitted to Our Story (if they're tagged at or near the location) as well as imagery from partners.

The first card will contain basic information like the name of a place, the category of the venue (say restaurant or store) and ratings. Snapchat, which boasts a young-skewing audience, averaged 173 million daily users worldwide in the second quarter.

Snapchat parent Snap Inc. has partnered with a handful of companies to provide details like directions, customer reviews, or the ability to make reservations at a restaurant.
