Andy Cohen to replace Kathy Griffin on CNN on New Year's Eve

CNN tweeted that it had terminated its agreement with Griffin.

Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin host "New Year's Eve Live" on CNN on New Year's Eve in Times Square on December 31, 2016 in New York City.

Anderson Cooper has a new New Year's Eve buddy - and it's an old friend. "It is going to be a blast!" he said in the press release. "We've travelled the world together and performed in 30 plus cities with "AC2" and it's all led to this one huge night!"

He replaces Kathy Griffin, who was dismissed as Anderson's NYE co-host following an infamous photo shoot earlier this year in which the comedian, 56, posed with an effigy of President Donald Trump's head.

However, she later said "I'm not laying down for this guy (TRUMP)". It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate", he wrote at the time.

Also, salaries of teachers at 119 centrally-funded institutions like the IITs, IIMs, IISc, NITIE, and IIITs would be revised. For the State Govt. funded institutions, the revised pay scales will require adoption by the respective State Governments.

Griffin hosted with Cooper since 2007 until CNN announced on May 31 that it would be ending its relationship with the comedian following a controversial photoshoot. Cooper's tenure on the program dates back farther, to 2002.

Griffin and Cooper previously served as co-hosts of the show since 2007 and had been longtime friends for almost two decades before their falling out in the wake of the Trump photo scandal.

"We're still friends", Cooper told Cohen of Griffin in July. Really? Not supporting and backing Kathy Griffin after she had your back for years.

For his part, Cohen had also hosted several New Year's Eve specials in recent years, dating back to 2010.
