Terry Francona believes Edwin Encarnacion will be ready for Game 5

Terry Francona believes Edwin Encarnacion will be ready for Game 5

The right-hander has the opportunity to return the favor tonight at Progressive Field when the Indians and Yankees square off in a series-deciding Game 5.

Encarnacion injured his ankle in Game 2 of the ALDS Friday when he was trying to get back to second base after a Jay Bruce line out.

Indians manager Terry Francona said "I think so" when asked if Encarnacion will be available for Wednesday night's game against the Yankees, who have come back from 2-0 to tie the series. He's been hitting off the machine already. "We're going to, obviously, go through the workout. He's never been one of our biggest base-stealing threats, but we're going to test him to make sure he can go". With him out, Cleveland has not only lost both contests against the Yankees, but the team's offense has scored just three runs over those two games. They could definitely use Encarnacion's presence in the middle of the lineup.

Coutinho resurrects move to Barcelona
At the start of the summer, he was being linked with a move to Barcelona on the recommendation of his Brazilian team mate, Neymar .

Encarnacion and several other players took some swings of Ryan Merritt in a simulated game.

Encarnacion led the Indians in home runs (38), RBIs (107) and walks (104) on the season. NY might have the momentum coming in, but Cleveland is about to get one of its most risky weapons back.
