Netflix's '13 Reasons Why' Shuts Down Production Amid California Wildfires

As first reported by Deadline the Netflix series, which films in Vallejo, California, is now shutting down production due to some of the devastating wildfires that are sweeping through the region.

Several members of the cast and crew have been flown home as a courtesy since majority live in areas adjacent to the wildfires.

13 Reasons Why was one of the most popular shows of 2017. Hopefully over the next several days production can resume normally and the entire cast can reconvene and get back to doing more of what they do so fantastically.

Executive-produced by songstress Selena Gomez, the Netflix drama has been forced to shut down since it films most of its parts in Vallejo in Northern California.

He said that while that is "important, but the real essence of a democracy is jan bhagidari or public participation". He added that the "facilities that are associated with cities must also be made available to our villages".

More than 20 wildfires have kicked up in the last week thanks to a potent combination of existing dry conditions and the Santa Ana winds.

Until the smoke has thinned out and the fires contained, filming will not be able to continue.

A few cast members including Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen) and Devin Druid (Tyler Down) took to Twitter to express their concern over the issue. "Sending love and thoughts to everyone involved", wrote Minnette. My heart goes out to all affected by these terrible fires. The highly divisive series tells the story of a high school student named Hannah (played by Katherine Langford) who commits suicide during her junior year. The series is based on the 2007 young adult novel by Jay Asher. The second series will be different from the first as we won't be hearing directly from Hannah through the cassette tapes, Deadline reports that season 2 "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery".
