Video calls can now be made straight from the Contacts, Phone, and Android Messages. Google is also planning to add a feature to voice calls allowing you to quickly switch over to a video call with a single tap.

Google's video chat app Duo offers iOS and Android users a smooth and simple way to make video calls.

We're starting to roll out integrated video calling to first-generation Pixel, Android One, and Nexus devices, and it will also be available on Pixel 2 phones.

If both the caller and the recipient are on a carrier that supports ViLTE video calling, the calls will be routed through the carrier's ViLTE service. Even the new-gen Pixel 2 phones have this.

According to The Bell (via The Investor ), LG has created a "task force" to help Apple develop the flexible OLED display. It's also been reported that LG's parts division has a similar team working on internal components for the device.

"We're working with our carrier and device partners to bring this experience to more Android devices over time", said Google.

What does that mean for Android users? Primarily, Google's video calling app Duo will be the main app that will make video call to anyone with the app installed.

Verizon PR Scott Charlston noted on Twitter (via Droid Life) that Verizon stores would have the new Google phones out on display for you to play with on this fine Thursday, though it's not clear if this is simply for one day only. Tomorrow, you'll be able to walk into a Verizon store and check Google's latest phones out.
