Flight 666 makes one last Friday the 13th trip to HEL

Your worst nightmare is about to end: today is the last time you will have to face the possibility of taking Flight 666 to HEL on Friday 13th.

It still operates a regular flight from Singapore's Changi Airport to Helsinki, meaning you can still go to HEL via SIN.

Flight 666 has been a scheduled route from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) in Denmark to Helsinki Airport (HEL) in Finland for a number of years.

However, today will be the last time Flight 666 flies to Hel, as the airline has chose to retire the flight number.

"In 11 years, we've flown 21 times the AY666 flight to HEL on Friday the 13th". But the move has nothing to do with superstition: "We are a growing airline and we are reorganizing our flight numbers to make room for additional flight numbers to be used", an airline rep tells the Independent. As the carrier is switching around some flight numbers later this month, Flight AY666 will become AY954.

He also conceded that a decision to withdraw charges that was based exclusively on the timing of the indictment was irrational. He said it was hard to understand why the present regime at the NPA believed the decision could be defended.

The flight takes off at 1.20pm and lasts for one hour and 35minutes. Paraskevidekatriaphobia is another term for the fear of "Friday the 13th". I'm not a superstitious man.

The fear of the number 666 is hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.

The last time the flight happened on Friday the 13th was in January.

"If there's some passenger who is anxious about this 666, our cabin crew is always happy to help them".
