Netflix's She's Gotta Have It Official Trailer

Netflix has released the official trailer for Spike Lee's remake of his groundbreaking 1986 film She's Gotta Have It.

31 years later, Lee is reviving his seminal film as a Netflix series, but this time Darling (played by DeWanda Wise) seems even more empowered.

Who is Nola Darling? She says directly to the camera, "I'm damn sure nobody's property", as though explicitly addressing critic's doubts. Revisit the main character from the original movie but in TV form. For those of you unfamiliar with the storyline, Nola is juggling three different relationships with three completely different men who all have something to offer.

Lee produced the series with his wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, who originally conceived the idea to turn the film into a series, and production partners Barry Michael Cooper and Lynn Nottage.
