Robbie Lawler vs. Rafael dos Anjos to headline UFC on FOX 26

Former champions Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos will meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night on December 16 at Winnipeg's Bell MTS Place.

The organization announced the bout via the UFC Canada Twitter page that Lawler will take on former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC on FOX 26. Antônio Rogério Nogueira, who is once again scheduled to fight in Winnipeg on the December 16 card, pulled out of a fight with Mauricio Rua in the scheduled co-main event that night. The pivotal welterweight battle between former Ultimate Fighting Championship titleholders on Thursday was made official. Dos Anjos has looked like a new man since he moved up to 170 pounds.

The 35-year-old defended his title twice before losing to Woodley in Fight of the Year candidates against Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit. "Ruthless" fought Donald Cerrone this past July at UFC 214 to a unanimous decision after taking a year off from being inside the Octagon.

One explanation for why bitcoin is so volatile is that not enough people are trading it to keep prices stable. Despite this, Goldman Sachs is open to the Bitcoin currency and is exploring a bitcoin trading operation .

Prior to moving up to the welterweight division, dos Anjos had dropped his last two fights as a lightweight, losing the 155-pound strap to Eddie Alvarez in July 2016 and then falling to Tony Ferguson four months later in November. The eighth-ranked Cirkunov, from Toronto, has won eight of his last nine fights.

Other bouts planned for the night include Glover Teixeira vs. Misha Cirkunov, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Jared Cannonier and Tim Elliott vs. Justin Scoggins. As such, this fight could very well produce the welterweight division's next title challenger.

The event will be aired live on CTV TWO and RDS 2.
