Gunmen shot dead seven people, including six students, in a raid on a high school early Saturday that appeared to be a revenge attack by a student who had been suspended for fighting, a Kenya police official said. "I also pray for a quick recovery of those injured", the Head of State stated through his twitter account.

He added that eighteen other students sustained bullet injuries and have been rushed to different hospitals in Turkana and Uasin Gishu counties.

The arrest comes just hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered police to pursue the killers of 7 students and a night guard at the school.

He further expressed deep sorrow at the death young innocent Kenyans at Lokichogio Secondary school in Turkana County.

Musyambo said the suspect only identified as Ibrahim was a form one student who attacked the school in the company of three others after he was expelled from the institution over indiscipline.

Talwars to walk free from Dasna jail on Monday
The CBI did not immediately say if it would appeal against the high court judgement. The Talwars are likely to be released from Dasna Jail on Monday.

Police had earlier arrested Abraham Lojore at Kakuma refugee camp as he tried to escape to South Sudan.

"(They) proceeded to the boys' dormitory where they targeted particular students whom they thought were behind his suspension".

"Six people were killed in the attack, including students, and we have others injured", said Seif Matata, Turkana county's commissioner.

A school girl is also said to have been raped and stabbed by the student on rampage and is now nursing serious injuries.

The students were in school preparing for their national exams when the attack occurred.
