Steelers' Bryant requests to be traded

Steelers' Bryant requests to be traded

After what was much confusion late Sunday night, NFL insider Ian Rapoport took to the NFL Network on Monday morning to clarify some of the details about the trade request made by Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant.

National Football League reporter Ian Rapaport tweeted that Bryant "recently" asked for a trade, and that his teammates and coaches are aware that he is unhappy. Bryant's snap share fell to a season-low 52 percent in Sunday's 19-13 win over Kansas City, marking the fourth consecutive game in which he logged fewer snaps than JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Through six games, Bryant hasn't been the explosive playmaker many thought he'd be for Pittsburgh.

It's been a disappointing return for Bryant from a year-long suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Since rejoining the Steelers this summer, Bryant, 25, has found himself a minor player in the offense.

So far in 2017, Bryant has 17 catches on 34 targets (not a good ratio!) for 231 yards and one touchdown. On Sunday, he had two catches for 27 yards.
