Amit Shah leads BJP's Jan Raksha Yatra in Trivandrum

Speaking on the much talked about political violence in the southern state, the CPI (M) veteran leader said the effort should be to end tension by holding peace meetings and conducting bilateral (between CPI-M and RSS-BJP leaders) talks.

"Kerala has nothing to learn from BJP or the RSS that guides it", the Chief Minister said, his stinging jab at the BJP and its president Amit Shah's for their incessant attacks on him during its relay walk.

After BJP national president Amit Shah, during his recent Kerala visit, challenged Pinarayi Vijayan to fight in terms of ideology and development, the latter had hit back asking what debate did Shah mean when the union ministers were trying to destroy the peaceful life in the state. Kerala, he said, had "a heart built on secular values" while the BJP just had "an agenda of hate and communal ideologies".

"Is this because of the political enmity created by the BJP unit in Kerala?"

Clippers edges Lakers in Ball's debut
The Clippers have now won 19 of the past 21 meetings over the struggling Lakers franchise since the start of the 2012-13 season. Lonzo Ball , Brandon Ingram, Luol Deng, Larry Nance Jr. and Brook Lopez will start against the Clippers on Thursday.

A host of BJP leaders, Union ministers and BJP chief ministers, have participated in the yatra at different stages, that passed through the length of the state. "What kind of debate does Amit Shah wishes to have with us, when such wrongful precedents are allowed to happen (sic)?" he asked.

Pointing to the Vengara bypoll, he said: "The abysmal performance of BJP... speak volumes".

Pinarayi also opined that the "flopped yatra" exposed the double standards maintained by the BJP and Sangh Parivar and helped the national media realise the reality in Kerala and how inspirational it is.
