Destiny 2 prestige raid world first achieved by team using glitch

Even more so considering that Bungie made a decision to delay the Leviathan Prestige Raid to try and remove a known exploit from the encounter.

Congratulations were in order, or so Bungie thought when it learned the players of Clan Redeem had beaten the "Prestige" version of Destiny 2's Leviathan raid. But because they used a well-known glitch, some players are calling for their disqualification.

During the 30 second clip you can hear one of the players say "I'm coil glitching".

The fact that the world's first team to beat the raid on Prestige used a glitch is incredibly ironic. When announcing the release of the prestige mode without fixing the glitch that caused the delay, Bungie said that "It's important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn't have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty". Until people started reporting that the team had been exploiting a glitch in order to win. Power weapons dish out the most damage of any gear in the game but their use is limited by ammo scarcity, so getting full stock from a single pickup is a big advantage. Keys will no longer be removed once the game hits the weekly reset, or when you make a new character to play, and won't be removed after you log into an alternate account for the first time in a week.

Clan Redeem was first to take down the souped-up Callus and his army of minions.

It's likely that either the glitch will be fixed, or Bungie will be introducing a way to track it and disqualify those that use it in the future. In response to a comment on Reddit saying that because Esoterickk's team did not appear to use glitches to complete the raid, they should be given first place, they wrote, "As part of that team, I entirely disagree that we should be considered "first" in that case, nor anyone before us other than Redeem".
