Explosion Targets Mosque In Ghor, Claims 10 Lives

At least 10 people were killed when a gunman opened fire on worshippers in a Shiite mosque in Kabul on Friday as they gathered for evening prayers, officials said.

Friday's attack comes just days after police in Kabul said they had arrested a would-be suicide truck bomber, averting a major incident.

The head of the area's Isteqlal Hospital, Mohammad Sabir Nassib, said it has received the bodies of two people killed in the attack as well as two wounded.

Kabul Police spokesman Abdul Basir Mujahid has confirmed the explosion, however, he said the type of blast is unknown.

How Manchester United could look if they sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal
This comes after Arsene Wenger confirmed that the Gunners are open to selling him in the January window to cut their losses. This is a good news for Manchester United fans and they will always welcome a player like Mesut Ozil to Old Trafford.

A spokesperson for the interior ministry said there had been an explosion at the Imam Zaman mosque "with possible casualties".

"Investigative teams have been deployed".

The so-called Islamic State (IS) has targeted Shia mosques across Afghanistan. The Shia population has been attacked before when 84 people were killed and 194 others wounded. The attack took place when people inside the mosque were observing prayers.
