KFC's Twitter follows all the Spice Girls for a reason

So, it's no surprise that KFC, too, has their own Twitter account.

Sometimes the best jokes are just hiding out in plain sight, waiting for you to notice them.

Anybody who's enjoyed the delicious fried chicken served at KFC will have wondered what exactly they put into it to make it so delicious.

Let's forget the chicken keyboard, the space sandwich and that "Game of Thrones" tribute.

No Christmas Eve fixtures for English top flight
Four matches have been selected for live United Kingdom coverage that weekend, with three to be televised on Saturday 23 December .

But fans of the fast food chain has discovered that there is a very good explanation for why KFC only follows 11 people on Twitter.

Those would be the five Spice Girls - Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton - and five other men called Herb.

That's right. On their Twitter, KFC only follows the five Spice Girls members, and six guys named "Herb" - and one guy finally found out why.

And while the exact recipe is a secret guarded more vigilantly than the Crown Jewels, any KFC employee will tell you that the secret blend of "11 herbs and spices" is what gives the chicken its distinct flavour. The tweet has been liked more than 471,000 times in less than 24 hours. This may be one of the cleverest uses of Twitter follows ever devised.
