Koetter: QB Jameis Winston will start Sunday vs. Bills

Just to add to head coach's Dirk Koetter's headaches, Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston remains questionable to play in Sunday's tilt against the Buffalo Bills.

The Buccaneers are looking to snap a two-game losing streak on the road but face a stout Buffalo defense that is surrendering a league-low 14.8 points per game.

"We'll see today. I think Jameis feels better today, " Monken said. The third-year quarterback is thus set to play through an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder in Sunday's hard matchup with a Buffalo defense that's held opponents to a 66.5 passer rating, 2:8 TD:INT ratio and 6.6 yards per attempt. "When it's time to let me go, I'm ready".

"I've come out of a game before, but I don't think I've ever missed a game [on any level]", he said, via ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Buccaneers' third-string quarterback Ryan Griffin ran the scout team at practice but isn't eligible to return from injured reserve yet.

Winston said whether he plays will be a "joint decision", though ultimately the team would have final say. Before leaving the game for good, the Buccaneers gunslinger completed just five of 10 passes for 61 yards.

"I've been throwing the football my whole life, so I know I can throw. How he's feeling and how he reacts to getting hit, because he's going to get hit".
