Penn State vs. Michigan: Players to watch

The cheapest ticket to the White Out game featuring No. 19 MI and No. 2 Penn State costs $355 on StubHub, making it the hottest ticket this weekend. Penn State now allows an average of 9 points per game, the best in the country.

The matchup that should determine the outcome of this game involves the strengths of both teams - Penn State offense versus the MI defense. While Michigan is 5-1 this season, the Wolverines are only 2-3-1 against the spread.

The Penn State Nittany Lions come into the game as the best defensive team in all of college football.

Penn State is atop the FBS in scoring defense (9.0 points per game), while MI leads the way in total defense (223.8 yards per game).

The OddsShark computer likes Penn State's chances of a route.

(XOM) Stake Decreased by Ferguson Wellman Capital Management Inc
The company reported $0.63 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating analysts' consensus estimates of $0.60 by $0.03. The stock of Imax Corp (USA) ( NYSE :IMAX) has "Buy" rating given on Tuesday, April 11 by Canaccord Genuity.

SB Nation's S&P+ projections also offer a similar prediction. Penn State cornerback Grant Haley seemingly is always in the right place at the right time. When it comes down to it, the Nittany Lions will be able to score more points than Michigan's stumbling offense. Everything needs to go right for MI to overcome the juggernaut that is Penn State; John O'Korn must progress through his reads and hang in the pocket while he does so, the offensive line has to play as good, if not better than last week, and the defense just has to maintain the status quo. The Nittany Lion secondary will be the toughest test O'Korn has faced this season. Penn State Head Coach James Franklin says the atmosphere will be electric. The Wolverines won on the road at IN last week.

MI have wins over Florida, Air Force, Purdue and Indiana. But a loss to Penn State would basically end any hopes MI has of a Big Ten championship.

The Wolverines rank 11th in the Big Ten in passing offense and senior John O'Korn has struggled since taking over the starting job from the injured Wilton Speight. Barkley has caught 2 of those touchdown passes, and leads the team with 395 receiving yards. Barkley will have a tough time gaining any yards on the ground against a MI defense that only surrenders 85 yards per game.

We expect tonight's game to be a different story.

MI hasn't allowed more than two offensive touchdowns in a game this season, and cornerbacks Lavert Hill and David Long have been excellent in coverage. Old Main lawn is the focal point of campus, greeting visitors as they enter campus from downtown State College. Under on the Point Total.
