Texas prosecutor fired after allegedly assaulting and belittling Uber driver

Driver Shaun Platt, 26, picked up Dallas County Assistant District Attorney Jody Warner, 32, at a bar in Old East Dallas on Friday.

Warner appeared intoxicated, according to Platt, who said he started asking her about the upcoming holiday season only to notice "something was off". He accuses Warner of berating him with insults, slapping him on the shoulder and accusing him of kidnapping her after he ended the ride and called police, The Dallas Morning News reported, with a link to the driver's audio recording.

He made a decision to call 911 and began to record the rest of the encounter.

In a statement, Johnson said that after conducting a thorough investigation, she chose to terminate Warner on November 13. Johnson issued a statement which said, "Her behavior is contrary to this office's core principle of integrity, and it will not be tolerated". Johnson urged the public to "look beyond this incident" and understand that prosecutors work hard to seek justice on citizens' behalf.

Warner: "I want to go home so badly, but you're so stupid I want the cops to come so that they can **** you up".

Platt says Warner's behavior escalated to verbal and even physical abuse. He said that the former assistant district attorney became belligerent, hit him, belittled him and threatened him during the trip. 'You had the opportunity to take me home.

Warner was tearful Tuesday, and said, "I'm very sorry for the language I used". But she refuses to accept that, claiming that he was "recklessly keeping" her from where she was going. "Then the cop said, 'You good?' and I said, 'I guess so.' I should've said, 'No, I'm not good.' It was intimidating". "Just take me home, dude".

That would be tough to match, but if there's a healthy paycheck involved for both fighters, you can never say never. Conor McGregor as absolutely ridiculous but then August came around and they actually met in the ring.

"I said, 'Should I make a left up here?' and she refused to answer me", Platt told the Morning News. "I cringe whenever I hear or think about the things that I said that night", Warner told ABC News. "You're kidnapping me. You're committing a third- to first-degree felony, so do you want to take me home?" Thus, he called 911 and hit record, according to the Dallas newspaper.

Contacted by HuffPost on Monday, a spokesperson for Dallas police said, "We're still trying to gather information about this case".

He said Warner started to become visibly upset, especially after she told him to change directions from the Global Positioning System and he got lost. "Jody is an honorable prosecutor and the Dallas Co DA's office is lucky to have her".

She had worked in the crimes against children unit for six years.

Platt released the audio on social media.

"She's embarrassed", said Dallas attorney Pete Schulte, who says he's a friend of Warner's but does not represent her legally.

All along Platt tells Warner she is free to leave at any time. People endorsed her for skills including litigation, legal research, and courts. Warner's Facebook page has been deleted. "I'm sure she's a good person when she's sober".
