Actress Rose McGowan turns herself in on Va. drug charge

McGowan turned herself in in Loudoun County, Virginia, and was served with the arrest warrant. "Our police have attempted to contact Ms. McGowan so that she can appear in a Loudoun County Virginia court to respond to the charge".

McGowan is one of dozens of women who accused film producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority also told ET in a statement that the felony charge against McGowan stems from the actress allegedly leaving personal belongings behind on a flight, which allegedly tested positive for narcotics.

McGowan has been very outspoken about sexual harassment in Hollywood.

McGowan, however, claimed that the warrant was a conspiracy.

She tweeted: "I told the head of your studio that HW raped me".

Rose, 44, is thought to have been paid £75,000 by the producer over an incident in the 1990s, and she recently tweeted: "Ladies of Hollywood your silence is deafening".

McGowan is best known for her appearance in the TV series "Charmed" and her role in the first "Scream" film.
