With the $1.6 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium open fully operational, the Georgia Dome's days were numbered.

Alabama had a lot of success in Atlanta during the life of the Georgia Dome.

The home of the Atlanta Falcons for 25 years came tumbling and crumbling down, setting off auto alarms and for those allowed to get anywhere nearby, it felt like a mini natural disaster.

The Weather Channel set up the ideal shot to live stream the implosion of the Georgia Dome Monday morning, but it went hilariously wrong.

AC/DC guitarist and co-founder Malcolm Young dies aged 64
Though brother Angus fronted the band, Malcolm was described as the group's driving force and leader. He is survived by his wife O'Linda and two children.

A 5-story tall industrial strength curtain between the two stadiums was on the scene to protect the new venue from damage, officials said.

If one college team is disappointed to see the Dome go, it has to be Alabama. The Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta's main convention center, is also just feet away.
