Gus Malzahn agrees to new 7-year deal with Auburn

Gus Malzahn agrees to new 7-year deal with Auburn

Auburn will play Central Florida (13-0) in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on New Year's Day at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN.

A win by the Tigers in the bowl game will give the program its sixth 11-win season in school history in what will be its first trip to the Peach Bowl since 2011, when Auburn defeated Virginia 43-24 on December 31 in the Georgia Dome.

UCF will be making its first trip to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, while Auburn will make its sixth appearance.

UCF (12-0, 8-0 AAC) enters the game as champions of the American Athletic Conference. The Knights are the only undefeated FBS team in the nation, recording the program's first-ever flawless regular season.

"We didn't finish the SEC championship game the way we wanted to this year, but I'm proud of what this team accomplished", Malzahn told Low.

Nebraska's new football coach said there's still some talking to do as it relates to the Knights' bowl game, but it appears he'll be running out with his team on January 1 in the Peach Bowl. "The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is well known for being a wonderful experience for teams and fans".

Overwatch League skins won't be in loot boxes
The Overwatch League kicks off on January 10, and 12 teams will be participating across the Atlantic and Pacific divisions. To ensure that profits go to the teams, Overwatch will be implementing a " League Token " currency.

Malzahn's team fell to playoff-bound Georgia in the SEC title game Saturday amid questions about whether he's a candidate for an open job at Arkansas.

Auburn has two victories (vs. Georgia, vs. Alabama) and two losses (at Clemson, vs. Georgia) against the four teams selected for the four-team 2017 College Football Playoff bracket. They play good team defense, and they're just so solid in a way that few teams are.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn was linked to Arkansas's open position, but has made a decision to remain with the Tigers, earning himself a hefty raise for his loyalty.
