John Mayer Hospitalized for Emergency Surgery

The Dead & Company stop in New Orleans has been postponed after guitarist John Mayer came down with appendicitis.

Mayer, who is also a member of the popular Grateful Dead offshoot Dead and Company, needed an emergency appendectomy, according to a news release from Scoop Marketing. The 40-year-old is now touring with Dead & Company, who released a statement on his condition.

Mourinho to make changes
Manchester United lead the group stage by three points, and will get through unless they lose by a large amount of goals. Nemanja Matic (muscle problem) is out while Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be rested but Luke Shaw could return to the side.

The band announced the news on Twitter, and added that all tickets for the Tuesday night show at Smoothie King Center would be honored for a to-be-announced rescheduled date. Fans also have the option to receive a full refund. So far, Dead & Company's December 7 and 8 concerts have not been postponed or canceled. It's unclear at this time when he will be healthy enough to perform again.

Recently, Mayer has been busy opening up in interviews after a long hiatus from speaking out publicly about his personal life. There is no news yet on the surgery's outcome.
