San Antonio gets late rally, drops Pistons 96-93

Kyle Anderson played well as the replacement, before injuring his left knee during Sunday's game.

Their most recent win came on Monday night, as the Spurs managed to narrowly defeat the Pistons 96-93 at the AT&T Center, with seven different Spurs players scoring double-figures, including the entire frontcourt of LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, and Rudy Gay. Anderson, a fourth-year pro from UCLA is averaging 8.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

In the meantime, San Antonio seems to be doing okay without him.

Anderson has been playing well this season and he has been getting the start at small forward while Kawhi Leonard continues to recover from right quadriceps tendinopathy.

The Detroit Pistons, who are one of the best teams in the National Basketball Association eastern conference, came to San Antonio looking to steal a game from the Spurs.

The court had allowed Maryam to be exempted from an appearance from Nov 15 until Dec 15. Maryam was earlier granted an month-long exemption.

Detroit trailed 94-93 when Gay failed to hit the rim on a 3-point attempt as the shot clock expired with 5.2 seconds remaining, but the Pistons' Tobias Harris committed a foul prior to the violation. If not those two games, then San Antonio won't play at home until Saturday, Dec. 16.

Andre Drummond finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds for his 17th double-double in Detroit's 23 games this season. The Pistons have lost six straight to the Spurs. Reserve forward Joffrey Lauvergne missed the game with an injured right middle finger. What that means for a specific return date remains unknown. "It's been a long wait, but I'm feeling pretty healthy right now".
