The Divisions getting a huge update

In Resistance, up to four Agents can team up to fight off Manhattan's enemy factions, who have united to take down The Division with waves of attackers.

The Division update introduce "Resistance" to the PS4, Xbox One and PC version, which expands the game's current map with an area called the West Side Pier.

The Division, Ubisoft's online-only action RPG set in the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic, has just received the free Update 1.8, and it is huge. Players will now have access to the West Side Pier, a two-zone region with its own safe house.

Tom Clancy's The Division released back in 2016 - it seems so long ago now - but Ubisoft are far from finished when it comes to updating the game with new content.

Starting Wednesday, December 6 through Sunday, December 10, The Division and all three expansions will be free to play. During it, players will be able to try out the full game and all of its DLC for free.

From December 7th - 10th, the full game will be accessible to new players on all available platforms. Players need to cooperate and find the best strategy to complete as many waves as possible and get greater rewards. The former is essentially a team deathmatch mode with two teams of four pitted against each other. Teams earn points each time a downed enemy player is eliminated.

The two new game modes that arrive with the Resistance update is also situated in this new region, them being Skirmish and Resistance.

There are improvements to the Underground expansion, a revamp of the rogue mechanics, and a new way to improve the statistics of your favorite equipment.
