The team announced on Wednesday that head coach Steve Clifford will step away from the team to deal with an undisclosed health concern.

Clifford, 56, didn't coach in the team's 104-94 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday evening and wasn't at the team's Tuesday practice, either, per Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

In a statement, the special counsel's office said it will release a similar expenditure report after March 31, 2018. Manafort and Gates have entered not guilty pleas in defense of a number of business related charges.

Silas joined the Hornets as a scout in 1999 when his father, Paul, was head coach.

The Hornets (9-13) are third in the Southeast Division, three games behind Washington. "All that other stuff will go out the window when it's time to coach". Charlotte hosts Golden State on Wednesday night. The team did not provide any additional details on the situation "out of respect for Clifford's privacy".

An indefinite timetable to return invites speculation about Clifford's health, and his status going forward.
