Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

An internal investigation carried out by Deutsche Bank didn't yield any evidence of connections between the client relationship with Trump and the bank's so-called Russian mirror trades affair, a person briefed on the matter said. The bank previously rejected those demands, saying sharing client data would be illegal unless it received a formal request to do so.

During a photo opportunity with senators at the White House on Tuesday, Mr Trump declined to answer shouted questions from reporters about whether Mr Mueller had crossed a line by asking Deutsche Bank for information.

Germany's Deutsche Bank has reportedly received a subpoena from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump has a history of dealings with Deutsche Bank during his career as a NY property mogul, and his businesses owed it around Dollars 300 million in July 2016, according to a Bloomberg analysis. A string of bankruptcies at his hotel and casino businesses during the 1990s made most of Wall Street wary of extending him credit.

The special counsel's investigation has focused on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation, as well as obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, who might have tried to impede the investigation.

A release from the Special Counsel's Office says that new expenditure reports will be released every six months, with the next one coming on March 30, 2018. "No subpoena has been issued or received". So when he set out to relaunch his empire, he turned to Deutsche Bank for the financing he couldn't find elsewhere.

Mueller's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Deutsche Bank told Bloomberg it "always cooperates with investigating authorities in all countries".

Two flags, one subpoena. "Deutsche Bank did not contact us regarding people connected with the Trump administration".

A source close to Deutsche Bank said the bank had run checks on Trump's financial dealings with Russian Federation.

Trump has also said that it would be a "violation" if Mueller went into his family's finances instead of focusing directly on the mechanisms of influencing the election, part of suggestions that he could fire the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director. Handelsblatt appears to be the originator of the subpoena story.

Meanwhile, White House attorneys denied the Bloomberg report as well.

Mueller's investigators have, according to previous media reports, examined Russian purchases of Trump-owned apartments, the president's involvement with Russian associates in SoHo, and the president's 2008 sale of his Florida mansion to a Russian oligarch, Dmitry Rybolovlev.

Trump said that investigating his family's finances would be a "violation" from Mueller. I don't have buildings in Russian Federation.

All of those loans were taken out in 2012 and will mature in 2023 and 2024, according to the disclosure. And it claimed none of them were "persuasive". None of Trump's outstanding debt comes from Deutsche's corporate side-the part of the bank that lends to most corporate customers.
