The anthology series, often referred to as a Twilight Zone for the modern era, has never been one to offer up its story premises easily.

Following the trailers for Jodie Foster's Arkangel, John Hillcoat's Crocodile, Colm McCarthy's Black Museum, Tim Van Patten's Hang the DJ, and David Slade's Metalhead, Netflix has now debuted the trailer for the Black Mirror Season 4 episode directed by Toby Haynes (Dr Who, Sherlock).

Following a ship in the powerful and diverse "Spacefleet", the teaser shows Jesse Plemons' Captain Daly welcoming a confused-looking "new member" of their crew.

Preparing and planning those acts will be criminalised for the first time, as will soliciting anyone to engage in those acts. "But these reforms are not about any one country", he added, pointing to Russian influence in the United States election.

This will be the first time that Black Mirror has ventured into outer space. It all invites the question-is this really happening? Whether this excites you as a Friday Night Lights fan or a Breaking Bad fan, I think we can all agree that more Plemons in more things would make the world a better place.

"U.S.S. Callister" (watch at the top of the page) looks to be a unusual Star Trek parody which stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson and Michaela Coel. Some reports suggest it will actually be released by the end of this year and there may be a hint from the official Black Mirror twitter account which has recently liked a number of posts dated December 29th of previous years, suggesting they may release on December 29, 2017.

All episodes were written by Charlie Brooker. From the 1960s hairstyles to the Khan-style villain on a planet that looks like a quarry, the Netflix episode looks like a huge wink towards the classic series.
