Huawei Could Add A Triple Camera To P-Series in 2018

Huawei Could Add A Triple Camera To P-Series in 2018

The cameras in phones keep getting better and better - but the next Huawei P-series phone sounds like it. Following the Pixel 2's score of 98 are the Huawei Mate 10 and iPhone X, both tied at 97. Blass claims that this new smartphone or series of smartphones will have 40 MP, triple-lens (5x hybrid zoom) camera module on the back and a 24 MP selfie camera, all of which will be co-developed by German camera company Leica.

The leak comes from popular tipster Evan Blass via his twitter handle and he has posted a promotional image of the alleged Huawei smartphone.

Chinese mobile maker Huawei could offer a triple lens camera setup with its forthcoming P11 smartphone.

Huawei P11's camera specs are absolutely insane: Leica pitches 40MP triple-lens rear camera

Bruce Lee, Huawei's VP of Smartphones, recently said that the firm will "probably" launch all future flagships at Mobile World Congress, so there's a chance the P11 will be announced at the event, which will take place in late-February. In spite of the success, Huawei won't be resting on its oars next year, as a new leak has revealed key info about the next gen P-series. The use of a trio of rear cameras hasn't really been seen before, so how the lenses would be configured - in terms of specifications like sensor setup and aperture size - is anyone's guess. The setup will also be able to take selfie shots up to 24MP in resolution. Moreover, Pro Night Mode will ensure you "shoot gorgeous night scenes" without a tripod.

The Huawei P11 is still just a rumor now, with no official word on when the next Huawei P series phone will be released. Then there is Pro AI camera assist which will be capable of doing things like automatic "scene recognition" and "auto framing" and the details on the poster state that it will help users in capture every moment effortlessly.
