Luke Shaw will get more chances at Manchester United, says Jose Mourinho

Manchester United after all spent £30 million on the player from Southampton and Jose Mourinho himself, whilst at Chelsea, saw Shaw as a potential signing for the Blues.

The England global has been largely out-of-favour since Mourinho took over the reins at Old Trafford from ex-Barcelona manager Louis van Gaal in May 2016.

"I can't think of a left-back like that who can change the pace of the game as quick as he does".

Shaw seems to have been around for a long time but people must remember he is still only 22 years of age.

Yet, Shaw showed on Tuesday night that it would be foolish to write him off just yet, and he could still become an excellent player.

He was at the time hailed as one of England's brightest prospects.

Babies' brains at risk from toxic pollution
There are 136 million children under the age of 1 globally, which means one in eight are being exposed to toxic air, the United Nations children's fund said.

Scholes believes that it is important Mourinho selects Shaw more regularly, comparing him to former teammate Wayne Rooney.

Rose, 27, has struggled to win over Mauricio Pochettino since his exclusive heated interview with The Sun, where the rampaging full-back questioned the club's transfer strategy in the summer. However, it is clear he is not the long-term answer in the position for Mourinho.

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season in Mourinho's first campaign in charge. "But I think it doesn't matter which team we get in the draw - I don't think that team will be jumping with happiness to play against us".

Nemanja Matic, David de Gea were some of the big names missing from the starting XI but United fans were pleased to see Luke Shaw make his first start of the season against the Russian side, who came to Old Trafford seeking a win to keep their qualification hopes alive.

"A very positive performance, especially with the balls going forward", Mourinho stated post-match about the defender's return. It is not easy to give an opportunity to a player that does not play for many months in matches where the team really needs results.

Should United persevere with Luke Shaw?
