Melania Looks Ready To Work During Visit With Hurricane Victims

Politicians' wives - they're just like us.

Melania and second lady Karen Pence traveled to Texas to meet with several dozen first responders and military personnel who helped the state recover following the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey over the summer.

U.S. President Donald Trump speaks to reporters as he and First Lady Melania Trump depart the White House in Washington on their way to view storm damage in Florida, U.S., September 14, 2017. She continued, "In fact, the President shares the same concern and he and his administration continue to fight for resources for the people of Texas". They also visited an elementary school in Aransas Pass to visit with kids there who were affected by the massive storm, according to Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady's Director of Communications. They are here for ongoing help for #HurricaneHarvey.

The motorcade also stopped at a Whataburger, so the first and second ladies could grab lunch.

Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback accused of sexual harassment
In May 1995, he was sued by a Vikings cheerleader who accused him of sexual harassment, alleging that he offered her cash for sex. The couple divorced in 2001. "She had no idea that her job duties were going to involve that kind of perverse protocol".

Their visit caught the attention of Whataburger, which tweeted, "Hope it was a great meal!"

"Even the Corpus Christi Police Department took notice, tweeting, "@Flotus knows a good burger @Whataburger". For now the family is living in a FEMA-provided trailer that now sits next to the remnants of their home. They will then travel to Rockport to meet a family whose home was destroyed in the storm, and tour the home's remains.

Trump and Pence flew through Corpus Christi, which means Whataburger.
