Winless Browns fire VP of football operations

What comes next for the Cleveland Browns front office now that Sashi Brown is out?

Jackson being safe at this time is something of a surprise given the context of the winless campaign but, in the end, it appears that Cleveland's leadership decided it was the roster, not the coaching, that is dooming the Browns at this point.

The next GM will be the Browns' ninth since 1999, and will be the fourth leader of the front office that Haslam has hired since his purchase of the team from Randy Lerner was approved by the league's owners on October 16, 2012. "Today we informed Sashi that we were going in a new direction".

Brown's replacement will have five draft picks in the first two rounds next spring to work with, including two picks - the Browns' and Texans' first-round selections - that should fall in the top 10.

The other host cities for Euro 2020 are: Baku, Copenhagen, Munich, Budapest, Rome, Amsterdam, Bucharest and Bilbao. They didn't expect a decision until January and they did not know whether that would be a yes or a no.

The 0-12 Browns will close out their 2017 regular season with games against the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brown was named the team's top executive by the Haslams during an overhaul following the 2015 season.

As it pertains to the rest of the organization, multiple reports are circulating that the Browns have been looking into general manager candidates, a position that has not existed in it's typical form under the team's current structure. The team passed up a chance to draft quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson in the past two drafts and Cleveland has shown little sign of improvement since Brown took over. It has become commonplace to see a firing of Browns personnel after disappointing seasons dating back to their return in 1999.
