George St-Pierre Not Sure If He Will Defend UFC Middleweight Title

"Of course, in terms of weight, if I want to go back to compete at 185, I will - obviously eating, like I did what I did, I learned from my mistakes, I don't think it's a good thing to do, force myself to eat to gain muscle mass". "I will be giving up my belt and once I'm healthy I look forward to working with the UFC to determine what's next in my career".

Australian Rob Whittaker will fight former champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 221 for the middleweight belt after it was announced that Georges St-Pierre would vacate his world title immediately, making Whittaker the current undisputed champion of the division.

Pierre is no longer the UFC's middleweight champion. He will defend the crown February 10 in Perth, Australia, against former titleholder Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC 221.

Now St-Pierre is the champion at middleweight, with a young and dynamic striker in Robert Whittaker waiting in the shadows to unify his interim title with the Canadian when the opportunity presents itself.

St-Pierre's decision to relinquish the title means he is the first fighter in UFC history to vacate two championship belts. "And Robert Whittaker has been elevated to undisputed champion".

The 26-year-old Whittaker, who has won his last eight fights, defeated Yoel Romero last time out in July for the interim middleweight title.

He said the attack was a "bad mistake of misjudging" America. "We are building up the military beyond what you ever thought. The president also promised them his administration would build up the military.

Rockhold (16-3), also the former Strikeforce champion, is coming off a dominant second-round submission win over WSOF champion David Branch in September.

"He's not fighting any of us", Rockhold said on The MMA Hour.

The UFC 221 pay-per-view event will take place at Perth Arena.

St-Pierre's Brazilian Jiu-jitsu coach John Danaher claimed after the fight that, despite his efforts to bulk up, "GSP" only weighed 190.5lbs in the octagon against Bisping - roughly the same as what he weighed after re-hydrating during his time as a welterweight.
