Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Preview and Prediction

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Preview and Prediction

The Ravens are 3-0-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 versus the AFC North. Baltimore is also 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 8-17 ATS in their last 25 December games. The Baltimore pass defense has been among the best in the league, but the loss of top cornerback Jimmy Smith (Achilles) should work in Brown's favor. The Baltimore offense has been held under 10 points in a game twice and has scored 40 or more points twice. The Steelers' No. 2 pass defense poses a bigger challenge, but Joe Flacco has a renewed sense of confidence and will take some shots against Pittsburgh's secondary. However, this matchup favors Brown and the Ravens will have to adjust.

For Mike Wallace, Sunday will be the 12th Steelers-Ravens game. 24-year-old Tyler Matakevich seems to be the most likely choice, as he was on the field for 41 defensive snaps against the Bengals.

The Ravens surrendered an average of 170 rushing yards per game while Williams was sidelined earlier this year. He made 54 tackles in 15 games with the Tennessee Titans in 2016 and was on the field for three games with the Indianapolis Colts before getting released in October. Brown is tied for first in receiving touchdowns (9).

And don't forget, New England's Rob Gronkowksi was also suspended for a game for his late hit on Buffalo's Tre-Davious White on Sunday.

Williams said it was a struggle watching his team take on the Steelers and have trouble containing Bell in their last meeting. In that game, Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger managed 290 yards, two touchdowns and one INT.

The inferno prompted the evacuation of about 99,000 residents after it erupted in Kagel Canyon, just northeast of the 210 Freeway. Hundreds of horses have been rushed to safety as Southern California wildfires hit local ranches and stables Tuesday.

No quarterback has started more games in the rivalry than Roethlisberger. Pittsburgh RB Le'Veon Bell leads National Football League in rushing attempts (270), yards rushing (1,057) and touches (333). He had 182 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown reception last week.

The 2017 AFC Week 11 Offensive Player of the Week leads the league with 88 catches on 142 targets (66.4% completion rate).

The Vikings rushed for 169 yards against the Ravens in Williams' return on October 22, but since then Baltimore hasn't allowed an opponent to rush for 100 yards in five consecutive games.

Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown continues to be hampered by a nagging toe injury over the last couple of weeks. The extent of Shazier's injury won't be known until swelling recedes. Spence, the Steelers' third round choice in 2012, appeared in 31 games for the team from 2015-16.
