'Outstanding' Liverpool will be hard to handle - Sam Allardyce

The 20-year-old is admittedly still rather raw and perhaps isn't ready to start regularly in the Premier League just yet, but he will hope that his display will convince Allardyce to at least involve him as a substitute against Liverpool.

"Sam Allardyce will do everything he can to make it a tight match, but that won't be enough". "Everybody is excited about Everton, we are really looking forward to it, we will do everything to win that game".

Sam Allardyce has what it takes to engineer the most unlikely of wins for his Everton side at Anfield on Sunday, according to Paul Merson. "Then we can win the game".

Liverpool's Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and top scorer Mohamed Salah all head into the Everton game with goals from the thrashing of Spartak.

"No one who has influence on it came to me so far and said, "Phil will be away in Jan", he said. "It's about us handling that pressure and atmosphere and handling a team that, I have to admit, is probably in the best form since Jurgen has arrived and one of the best strike forces in the Premier League. They are favourites considering the form they are in", said the former striker, who is the sixth-highest goal-scorer in the history of the EPL with 162 goals.

Although he is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder if required, Vlasic thrived as a right winger last night as he demonstrated his excellent technique.

"You can't sort of say: 'If we can block these two players off then we will stop Liverpool.' It's more than that at the moment with the way they're going".

"We won at Palace past year and that's after going 1-0 down, have to look at that area, but yet again the team of Liverpool is playing much better". But where is the criticism when we don't score? "We need to be very clinical in our finishing". Everyone knows they are wonderful and world-class, but we as a team have to help them show they are world-class players every game.

"It's about not wasting the possession we get, and not letting the occasion overawe us. It's four or five [attackers] for me".
