Stolen €1.3mn gold-plated vodka bottle found empty at building site

Ingberg's bar holds about 1,200 bottles of vodka.

By Sanae Elouazi Rabat- A bottle of vodka claimed to be the most expensive in the world was reportedly found empty on a construction site, after being stolen earlier this week from a bar in the Danish capital of Copenhagen, local Police confirmed on Twitter. It's the only one of its kind in the world.

The bottle of vodka contains three kilograms of gold and the same quantity of silver and is adorned with a circular patch of leather from a 1912 Monte Carlo rally vehicle.

Cafe 33 owner Brian Ingberg told The Associated Press that he received a call on Friday from person who reported finding the vessel at a construction site in Copenhagen and handing it over to the police.

Copenhagen police tweeted that the bottle was intact when it was found and is now being examined. It also has a ribbon made from leather taken from an original 1912 RussoBaltique auto.

American Horror Story Season 9 Likely to be Murder House/Coven Crossover
The next season of American Horror Story will be set in the future , a first for Ryan Murphy's FX anthology. That said, we shouldn't start placing bets on who will and will not be back for Season 8 just yet.

The bottle, which made an appearance in the political TV drama "House of Cards", was on loan from a Russian businessman.

The bottle was on loan to Café 33, a bar and unofficial vodka museum, when it was stolen.

"I don't know what happened with the vodka, but the bottle was empty", Riad Tooba, spokesman for the Copenhagen police, told AFP news agency. "It's not the most fun item to possess".

Although the alcohol itself is gone, Ingberg said he was more concerned about getting the bottle back. Ingberg said earlier that he had not insured the bottle.

"It has been part of my collection for six months, but not anymore", he said. The photos below show one of the guards previously transporting the bottle.
