LaVar Ball: Lakers 'don't want to play for' Luke Walton

Of his father's comments, the younger Ball told reporters before the game "I'll play for anybody.my job is to play basketball".

The young team's struggles has prompted plenty of comment from the outspoken LaVar Ball, who has criticized Walton's handling of his son.

The rookie played 30 minutes in the win, tied for the most on the team, so there should be no real controversy over playing time.

"You can see that we're having a lot of fun when we play like that", Ball said.

Dennis Schroder paced the Hawks with a game-high 27 points while Kent Bazemore and John Collins finished with 15 points apiece.

Carlisle, who serves as president of the NBA's Coaches Association, argued that ESPN should consider its sources and determine if they have any merit or are simply "blowhard loudmouths".

"I'd like to thank our administration and former Virginia Tech players , coaches and support staff", Beamer said. Woodson won the Heisman in 1997, becoming the first player who primarily played defense to win the award.

Whoa, grab a tissue and dial back the passion, Lonzo! It erodes the trust that we've built with ESPN, and our coaches are upset because Luke Walton does not deserve that.

"Nobody's with these guys every day and when they have comments on teams, chemistry, that kind of stuff, they don't really know what's going on in the overall picture", Hornacek said.

Lamenting the Lakers' recent struggles, which have seen them lose nine straight games and fall into last place in the conference, LaVar said Walton doesn't have control of the team anymore, and added that the players don't want to play for him.

Looks like LaVar Ball went and done it now.

The Lakers have, so far, stood by their coach, with reports indicating they aren't even considering letting go of Walton.

Players sprinted out in transition, the ball was whipped all across the floor and the shots wouldn't stop falling, as the Lakers scorched the court with a 132-113 win over Atlanta. All the way back in March, Scott Van Pelt vowed he would not talk about Ball following comments he made about LeBron James' kids, prompting the superstar to say, "Keep my family out of your mouth". "Luke walton is a terrific young coach who's bringing along a young team". You can't get more championships.
