Monster Hunter World Release Date, Trailer, News, and More

The final beta will be featuring new content in the form of "Monster Hunter World's" flagship boss and monster, Nergigante.

Now, Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World will be getting a third and final Beta test just days before the game is scheduled to launch.

Developer and publisher Capcom have revealed to the PS4 community that the final beta test for the upcoming game will be taking place on January 18 and will run for two days. When he's not devouring players, this brute is busy devouring other monsters.

No matter how it ends up turning out, one thing about Monster Hunter: World is undeniable. Suffice to say that the Elder Dragons represent a significant threat in the game and fighting them requires not only great gear, but also a lot of skill and patience. "This wild beast really is one for only the bravest of hunters to take on", said Capcom of the toothsome creature. That is to say, players will be hunting new beasts over the course of the year.

Check out the monsters in the trailer below.

Travis Kelce suffers injury after helmet-to-helmet hit
The Chiefs tight end caught a 12-yard pass with 1:25 remaining in the second quarter as the Chiefs held a 14-3 lead. Tennessee safety Johnathan Cyprien rushed into make the tackle and collided with the side of Kelce's helmet.

The Monster Hunter franchise may not be quite as big in the Western world as it is in its native land of Japan, but that may change when Monster Hunter World is released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

These new Elder Dragons were also unveiled in a special Elder Dragons trailer that the developers of the game released recently.

Notably, the event mirrors the game where a player hunts giant and ferocious monsters before carving them up for nourishment. In addition, it's planning "regular content updates" for the game going forward, with this one being the 'first major title update'.

Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that the end of the trailer includes a quick glimpse at Monster Hunter: World's first free update.
